After Bethel vacated their original building at 6th and America, these windows were removed from the building by their new owner and sold. Four of them were purchased by Ed Lund, Mike Naylor, and Robert Naylor (2 windows), given back to Bethel, displayed in Bethel's second home at 5th and Irvine; then incorporated into the design of this building. The cross-shaped placement of old windows in their new setting provides the central focus of the window arrangement. The dominant symbol of each pane is the Fleur-de-lis, providing the traditional depiction of Jesus Christ as the Lily of the Valley, symbolizing the death and life of Christ. Two jewels in two of the panes represent the Church, the body of Christ;
with the warm light shining through, symbolizing our calling to be the
Light of the World. The red color may symbolize the blood of Christ, the earth tones the world, and the blue that here is the entrance of heaven. |
